AxioBionics is a medical device company that designs, manufactures, and fits custom Wearable Therapy® electrical-stimulation devices that help people living with chronic pain, paralysis, stroke, MS, and other neuromuscular conditions move and live better. We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to keep our day-to-day finances accurate and running smoothly.
About the Role
Reporting to management, the Bookkeeper owns invoicing and the accounts payable and receivable cycle. You will make sure customers and insurers are billed correctly and on time, vendors are paid accurately, and our books stay clean and current. This role can be structured as part-time or full-time depending on your availability and experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, send, and track customer invoices; ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
• Manage accounts receivable: post payments, monitor aging, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Manage accounts payable: review and enter vendor bills, schedule payments, and reconcile statements.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts on a regular basis.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and organized financial records.
• Assist with month-end close, expense tracking, and basic financial reporting.
• Coordinate with the team on billing questions, insurance/reimbursement documentation, and collections.
• Support the outside accountant/CPA at tax time and during audits.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (AP/AR and invoicing).
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and comfort with data entry accuracy.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Professional, discreet handling of confidential financial information.
• Medical, healthcare billing, or insurance reimbursement experience a plus (not required).
