Position Summary
We're looking for a Graphics Specialist with strong Adobe Illustrator skills to own the creation and upkeep of our blueprint templates, technical drawings, and forms — the visual backbone of how we document, manufacture, and communicate our medical devices. This role blends precise technical/CAD-adjacent drafting work with broader graphic design support across operations and marketing. You'll work closely with our Quality team on a day-to-day basis, since blueprints, labeling, and controlled forms all live inside our quality system and have to be built, revised, and released the right way.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys both the precision of technical drawing and the creativity of broader design work, and who's comfortable being the go-to person for anything that needs to look right and be exactly correct.
Key Responsibilities
Blueprint & Technical Drawing Support
● Create and maintain blueprint templates and technical drawings for Axiobionics devices and components in Adobe Illustrator
● Revise existing blueprints and drawings to reflect engineering and design changes, keeping version history clean and traceable
● Ensure drawings meet internal standards for accuracy, dimensioning, labeling, and legibility
● Build and maintain reusable templates and design assets to speed up future drawing revisions
Forms & Controlled Documents
● Design and format controlled forms, labels, and documentation templates used across quality, manufacturing, and clinical materials
● Update forms and templates in response to change orders, keeping formatting and branding consistent across the document set
● Support document control by preparing clean, print- and audit-ready layouts
Quality Team Collaboration
● Work side-by-side with the Quality team on a daily basis to support blueprint, labeling, and form-related needs within the QMS
● Participate in change order workflows, ensuring graphical updates are completed accurately and on schedule
● Help maintain organized, version-controlled archives of drawings and templates
Operations & Marketing Design Support
● Produce graphics, diagrams, and layouts supporting internal operations (packaging, instructions for use, work instructions)
● Support marketing with design work such as ad creatives, one-pagers, web graphics, and presentation materials
● Maintain visual consistency with Axiobionics' brand identity across all technical and marketing materials
What You'll Need
● Demonstrated experience with Adobe Illustrator; a portfolio showing technical drawing/blueprint work is a strong plus
● Experience creating or modifying blueprints, technical drawings, or engineering-adjacent documentation
● Experience designing forms, templates, or other structured documents
● General graphic design skills applicable to both operational and marketing materials
● High attention to detail and comfort working within a regulated, version-controlled document environment
● Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple revision requests at once
● Comfortable working closely and collaboratively with a Quality team on a daily basis
Nice to Have
● Experience in medical device, manufacturing, or another regulated industry
● Familiarity with CAD software or engineering drawing conventions
● Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite beyond Illustrator (InDesign, Photoshop)
● Experience working within a formal QMS or document control system
