Position Summary:
The Industry Solutions Manager, Healthcare serves as WCC’s content expert and primary point of connection for employers in healthcare. The Manager diagnoses employer training and workforce needs, sells and shapes the customized training and consultations the division can provide, and delivers or guides that training. The Manager guides the division’s industry engagement in the sector, forecasts and meets revenue goals, and translates employer demand into the full range of offerings — customized corporate training, consultations, open enrollment classes for the Lifelong Learning group, and courses for the LiveWorkLearn community catalog. The primary focus is meeting employer needs in healthcare.

Essential Duties include:
  • Serve as WCC’s subject-matter expert in healthcare, maintaining current, industry-standard knowledge of tools, certifications, practices, and emerging skill needs.
  • Lead employer-facing engagement in healthcare, driving and supporting sales conversations, and providing the credibility that assures employers WCC can deliver to industry standard.
  • Diagnose employer training and workforce needs through discovery meetings, market analysis, and trend research, and shape the customized training and consultations the division can offer in response.
  • Deliver, co-deliver, or guide training and consultations within the discipline, whether directly or by directing qualified trainers and content experts.
  • Guide the division’s industry engagement strategy in healthcare, advising on what customized training and consulting WCC can credibly provide to community employers.
  • Forecast and meet annual revenue goals for the discipline, developing pricing based on competitive analysis and monitoring performance against targets.
  • Develop open enrollment classes for the Lifelong Learning group in the discipline, translating professional expertise into community-accessible offerings.
  • Contribute discipline-specific courses to the LiveWorkLearn community catalog, extending the same expertise to the broader community audience.
  • Identify emerging skill gaps and industry trends in the sector and feed those signals back into program development and the division’s offerings.
  • Support noncredit-to-credit pathway conversations by identifying where trained workers could continue into credit credentials in the discipline.
  • Represent WCC at sector events, employer sites, and industry associations to build the pipeline and strengthen the division’s standing in the field.
  • Build, manage, and evaluate a pool of qualified trainers and consultants as needed to fulfill training obligations.
  • Utilize technology, including AI-enabled tools and software where appropriate, to support the effective performance of assigned duties, enhance productivity, improve communication and information management, support decision-making, and other responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements, institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience in healthcare.
  • Significant professional experience and subject-matter expertise in healthcare, with current knowledge of industry tools, certifications, and practices.
  • Experience in business development, sales, consultation, or employer engagement, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and research skills, with the ability to manage offerings from inception through delivery.
  • Planning and budgeting experience, including revenue forecasting and pricing.
  • Experience developing or delivering training or curriculum preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for communicating clearly with employers, staff, and leadership.
  • Desire and willingness to stay informed of relevant trends and developments in the discipline.
  • Ability to use workplace technology relevant to the position, including the capacity to learn and appropriately leverage emerging AI-supported tools.
