Actively seeking Instructors to teach this Fall 2025 and beyond. WCC is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to be considered when part-time and/or on-call instructors are needed to teach HVAC-R credit courses. Needs may become available prior to or during each semester. Upon successful submission of your application, resume and transcripts, you will be considered for future part-time and/or on-call teaching opportunities on a per course basis. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Facilitates student learning in the HVAC-R program which includes teaching and course development. • Responsible for the development of classroom and laboratory activities needed to develop practical technical level skills • Develops and plans appropriate instructional strategies, including alternative delivery strategies when appropriate including but not limited to hybrid, face-to-face, evening and weekend, accelerated, online course delivery, active learning, and flipped classrooms. • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and submit final grade rosters each semester in accordance with college policy and FERPA. • Regular attendance on campus is required for this position. • Utilize technology, including AI-enabled tools and software where appropriate, to support teaching, learning, student engagement, professional responsibilities, institutional service, and other responsibilities. Use such technologies in a manner consistent with academic standards, professional ethics, confidentiality requirements, and compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. • Other duties as assigned. |
| Minimum Qualifications: | Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Industrial Technology or related field and five years full-time work experience OR Associates degree in HVAC, Industrial Technology or related field may be considered with a minimum of 7 years full-time work experience • Demonstrated ability to use technology relevant to the discipline and faculty role, including the capacity to learn and appropriately utilize emerging AI-supported tools. Ability to evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness of AI-generated content; maintain confidentiality where required; exercise professional and academic judgment; and uphold ethical standards in the use of technology for teaching, learning, and service. |
| Preferred Qualifications: | Additional Preferred Qualifications: • Previous teaching experience with K-12, college or vocational programs. • Ability to instruct in all disciplines within the HVAC-R program. |
