Position Description:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support activities during Parkridge Center’s After School and Summer Programs.
  • Provide support in the delivery of student-centered classes, workshops and activities.
  • Perform routine duties such as: classroom set up, front desk support and room preparation, monitor supply levels; and cleaning.
  • Assist center management with basic data entry for reporting i.e., programming, finances, metrics
  • Assist in providing a high level of customer service to a diverse customer base through information sharing, instruction and assistance.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a safe, diverse, kid friendly atmosphere with strong attention to detail while being able to provide face-to-face, telephone and email assistance to students and their families.
  • Attend staff meetings, department meetings and trainings assigned by the college and appropriate leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of College Career Readiness
Hours/Schedule: This is a part time position that will not exceed 20 hours per week. The schedule may include mornings and afternoons between 9am and 9pm Monday – Friday and some Saturdays, depending on the needs of the office
Work Environment: Off-campus at the Parkridge Community Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent plus College level course work.
  • Excellent customer service/telephone skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse patrons of all ages, ethnicities, genders, and backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills to deal effectively with various college and community publics.
  • Ability to work mornings and afternoons between 9am and 9pm Monday -Saturday.
