Position Summary:
This position supports the effective coordination and administration of nursing clinical and lab operations. The role is responsible for managing part-time clinical faculty recruitment and assignments, coordinating student clinical placements, and ensuring compliance with all health, legal, and accreditation requirements.
The position serves as a key liaison between the college and clinical affiliates, maintaining communication, supporting contract management, and developing new partnership opportunities. It also provides guidance to faculty and students by interpreting policies, procedures, and clinical requirements.
Essential Duties include:
  • Responsible for recruiting and support the part time nursing faculty hiring process to meet the needs of the department.
  • Coordinate faculty assignments including clinical rotations/schedules.
  • Manage student and faculty clinical compliance requirements.
  • Coordinates student clinical assignments and student clinical requirements using available
  • Coordinates clinical faculty assignments including clinical rotations/schedules
  • Oversees the management of all faculty and student related items to assure that all health documentation, backgrounds checks, and drug screenings are electronically entered into health documentation systems ensuring that all deadlines for compliance are met.
  • Gather, track and secure confidential student and faculty records for clinical compliance (including, but not limited to health forms, criminal background checks, drug screens).
  • Provide advice, support and assistance by interpreting policies and procedures, site contracts, and ACEMAPP requirements.
  • Communicate with all clinical affiliate coordinators at least once per semester.
  • Ensures clinical contracts are current and assists in updating clinical contracts.
  • Attends ACEMapp meetings as scheduled.
  • Meets at least weekly with Director of Nursing.
  • Reaches out to new clinical partners in obtaining new clinical contracts.
  • Regular attendance on campus is required for this position
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean.

Collaboration & College Engagement:
  • Serve on Department and Division committees as assigned.
  • Participate in department, division, and general faculty meetings, applicable college committee activities, and other forms of college service.
  • Assist with program-level events, recruiting efforts, and campus tours.

Nursing Clinical and Lab Support:
  • Collaborate with nursing administration and faculty on orientation and onboarding for part-time clinical and lab faculty
  • Provide ongoing support to all clinical and lab faculty related to all college policy and procedures, clinical agency policies, compliance and accreditation requirements
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement related to lab support, clinical education, and faculty development.
  • Participate in meetings, planning initiatives, and program evaluation activities.
  • Support semester planning, room utilization, and instructional coverage.
  • Support Nursing Center of Excellence and ensure incorporation of accreditation requirements.

Hours / Schedule
This is a full-time Clinical (Classified) Faculty position, working year-round and accountable for forty (40) hours per week. Work schedules may include days, evenings, and weekends based on instructional needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • BSN required.
  • Knowledge of computer software applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment with faculty, administration, and support staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to use organizational skills to enable the performance of duties in a timely fashion with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present ideas orally and in writing
