Part-Time Personal Assistant / Operations Coordinator
Location: Ann Arbor, MI (in-person presence required as needed)
Schedule: Approximately 1 day per week, flexible hours
Type: Part-Time / Contract or Employee (depending on experience and availability)
Tulip Healthy Living, LLC, located in the Ann Arbor area, is a research and development start-up company with a focus on developing rehabilitation furniture to promote mobility in patients or office workers. The company is currently preparing for a product launch. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and versatile professional to support business operations during an exciting growth phase.
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly capable Personal Assistant / Operations Coordinator who can provide administrative, managerial, and organizational support while also assisting with accounting and grant-related activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a flexible start-up environment and can independently manage a variety of responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Manage scheduling, appointments, meetings, and correspondence
Assist with bookkeeping, expense tracking, invoicing, and basic accounting tasks
Support grant research, grant writing, and submission preparation
Help coordinate business operations and project management activities
Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and meeting notes
Maintain organized records and confidential files
Communicate with vendors, partners, and professional contacts
Assist leadership with planning, organization, and administrative priorities
Provide general secretarial and executive support as needed
Qualifications
Experience in administrative support, executive assistance, office management, or related roles
Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience required
Grant writing or grant administration experience preferred
Strong organizational and managerial skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Professional discretion and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and common business software
Preferred Background
Candidates with experience in healthcare, medical devices, rehabilitation, research, start-ups, or small business operations are especially encouraged to apply.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
Location & Flexibility
This position requires periodic in-person presence in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with flexible scheduling and approximately one day of work per week.
