Field Operations & Project Coordinator
Construction, Technology & Future Leadership Development Track
Build Technology. Work Hands-On. Lead Projects. Develop the Skills to Run Them.
Synergy Fiber is seeking motivated, hands-on individuals who want more than a traditional desk job.
This position is ideal for people with professional aspirations who enjoy working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills. It combines technology, construction, project coordination, customer interaction, and career development into a unique opportunity that offers long-term growth in both the technology and building trades industries.
This role can be tailored to your strengths and experience. Much of what we do is taught through hands-on training and mentorship. Candidates with trade school training, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, military experience, or relevant industry experience may all be excellent fits.
This is a true hybrid role that bridges both the office and project management side of the business with the construction and field operations side.
You will gain exposure to:
Unlike a traditional office-based project management position, this role combines hands-on field experience with project coordination, customer communication, and leadership development.
Approximately 50% of your time will be spent in the field working alongside installation crews, contractors, customers, and project stakeholders.
This position may require up to 40% travel, depending on project assignments and business needs. Travel may include company vehicle travel and occasional air travel. A valid driver's license, willingness to travel, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are required.
Our goal is to develop future hands-on Project Managers, Operations Leaders, Designers, Estimators, Sales Engineers, and Technology Leaders within Synergy Fiber.
This role requires individuals who are willing to learn every aspect of installation work while also developing the skills needed to coordinate projects, manage teams, communicate with customers, and oversee subcontractors.
This position sits at the intersection of field operations and project management. Successful candidates enjoy learning, solving problems, and helping move projects from initial sale through successful completion.
Many leaders within Synergy Fiber work in similar hybrid roles. Some are more installation-focused, while others spend more time on project management and customer coordination, but all maintain exposure to both sides of the business.
Candidates must be comfortable using modern business tools, including Microsoft 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and emerging AI technologies.
