We are seeking highly motivated and ambitious candidates to fill a Mechatronics Engineer position. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, manufacturing, testing and commercialization of various novel robotic systems. You will have the opportunity to work with the vital hardware (sensors, actuators, power management, signal conditioning, and other electronics) and embedded controls software that enable the safe and reliable operation of various novel robotic systems.
Design, build, test, and debug and analyze complex mechatronic and robotic systems at prototype and commercial product stages
Develop, program, and debug embedded systems and control algorithms
Use KiCAD or Altium for circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes
Build and evaluate mechanical and robotic prototypes for usability, reliability, and manufacturability
Collaborate with internal engineering and quality teams to meet functional, safety, reliability, and regulatory standards
Coordinate with suppliers to source components meeting technical specifications
Test and validate systems to collect and evaluate experimental data
Analyze system malfunctions to determine root causes and implement corrections
Assist with standard quality control, inspections, and performance tests
Draft technical documentation, including manufacturing setups, reports, and testing guidelines
Conduct secondary research via literature, technical reports, patents, and academic papers
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Robotics, Mechanical, Biomedical, or other relevant engineering fields)
Strong working knowledge of control systems (including feedback, feedforward, filters, data fusion, signal processing) and embedded systems for robotics and automation applications
Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python for controlling embedded systems
Familiarity with electrical components, including sensors, actuators, PLCs, microcontrollers, and embedded systems
Working understanding of mechanical design principles and their application in automation and robotics
Theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, computer programming, and mechatronic integration
Ability to analyze system performance and troubleshoot complex engineering problems
Ability to independently create and execute a project execution plan to meet given Technical Objectives
Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset and excellent attention to detail
Efficient teamwork with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse stakeholders
Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Robotics, Mechanical, Biomedical, or other relevant engineering fields)
Proficiency in using simulation software like MATLAB or Simulink to model mechatronic systems
Very high attention to detail in engineering design, analysis, and documentation
Deep knowledge of control theory, signal processing, and embedded software development.
Hands on experience with electronics fabrication such as soldering, crimping, etc.
Strong desire to learn in a high-performing, fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment
