As a Technician II in the DWTS Lab you will perform testing of DWTS products in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform testing of DWTS products including, setup of test samples, preparation of analytical samples, operation of test rigs, documentation of tests, and recording of data.
Perform all applicable corporate and laboratory QA/QC procedures and policies.
Maintain knowledge of and provide input into the revision of all SOPs.
Maintain all records (data, notebooks, bench sheets) in a timely, thorough, and neat manner following all data recording procedures.
Adhere to all safety and health policies and procedures.
Use the LIMS system as needed to perform testing and input test data.
Assist in protocol validation as needed.
Assist in test systems maintenance and servicing as needed.
Participate in all laboratory efforts to improve quality, timeliness, productivity, and accuracy.
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma/GED required plus laboratory experience and/or college level laboratory coursework.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related area of science.
Familiarity with laboratory quality systems / procedures.
Understanding and experience in the use of laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
Experience with data acquisition systems.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
Required to stand for long periods of time.
Heavy physical effort required (ability to lift and move 50 lbs. from one area to another).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work performed in a laboratory environment.
Use of personal protective equipment required.
Smoke free work environment.
