Overview

Engineering Administrative Intern supports the Engineering Leadership Team in administrative, data management, document control, and process improvement activities. This role provides hands-on experience in engineering operations, digital workflow optimization, SharePoint document management, and responsible use of AI tools to enhance productivity and reporting.

This position requires regular on-site presence

Responsibilities

Support engineering leadership with administrative coordination and operational tracking.
Assist with office relocation logistics, asset tracking, and inventory documentation.
Compile and maintain engineering performance metrics and dashboards using Excel or Smartsheet.
Track capital expenditures and engineering assets.
Organize, edit, and publish engineering procedures and work instructions within SharePoint.
Support document control processes including version tracking and structured file management.
Utilize AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT-type platforms) to improve documentation, summarize information, and streamline workflows.
Help improve cross-functional processes between Engineering and other departments.
Follow all company safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Associate’s degree completed or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (preferred 1st–2nd year completed) in Business, Engineering, Communications, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to analyze and manage data in Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, basic charts).
Familiarity with SharePoint or document management systems preferred.
Interest in AI-enabled productivity tools and digital workflow improvement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
