About the Role
The HR Service Partner (HRSP) position is responsible for aligning City objectives with employees and management in designated service units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees. This position serves as a coach and mentor for leadership in assigned service units as well as a resource for employees and other positions within the HR department. The HRSP acts as a strategic service partner to assigned service units, proactively understanding their operational goals and challenges, and aligning HR strategies and solutions to support the achievement of those objectives.
The City of Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to provide interim support during a period of significant organizational transition within the Human Resources Department. This 10-month assignment will focus on maintaining critical HR operations and advancing key initiatives including recruitment and selection, classification and compensation projects, performance management, policy review, employee relations, and organizational development efforts. The successful candidate will be expected to quickly assess priorities, work independently, and provide immediate value to assigned projects.
