Job Summary Supervises the MWSE Business Service Team (BST) and is responsible for delivery of workforce and business development services across the five-county region of MWSE. Oversight includes ensuring policy and procedures are followed, administrative approvals and performance accountability. Works closely with local, regional, state, and federal economic development entities on business attraction and retention projects. The Business Services Manager holds a high level of technical knowledge of workforce solutions, applicable resources and community partner services to support the team as they engage with employers to meet their comprehensive workforce needs. The Business Services Manager engages with community organizations focused on workforce and economic development, often representing Michigan Works! Southeast at various strategic level business-oriented meetings. Michigan Works has adopted a demand-driven system statewide where the employer is the primary customer.
