Kumanu is an Ann Arbor, MI-based wellbeing technology company founded by Dr. Vic Strecher, a professor at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a researcher in purpose and behavior change. We build purpose-centered apps that help people improve their wellbeing and live for what matters most.
We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented intern to help ensure our apps work well and our users get the support they need. This fully remote role offers hands-on experience with how a professional app is built, tested, released, and supported. You’ll work directly with our Director of Product and Chief Technology Officer, with opportunities to learn and take on more responsibility as your skills grow.
We expect support to take approximately 30–60 minutes per weekday, with the remaining time focused on testing, collaboration, and learning. Support needs may vary.
Basic coding knowledge or experience with software testing, customer support, or bug-tracking tools is a plus. Prior professional experience is not required.
This is a fully remote, part-time hourly internship requiring approximately 15 hours per week. We’ll agree on a consistent schedule that includes regular weekday availability to review and respond to support inquiries, along with longer blocks for testing and project work. Scheduling will be flexible around coursework.
Other team members will provide backup support coverage and handle escalated issues.
Required availability: At least 1 hour available per weekday to respond promptly to user support requests.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Kumanu does not provide employment visa sponsorship for this internship or any subsequent employment.
