Job Description: Heat2Power is pioneering the world’s most efficient solid-state heat engine: the Air-Bridge Thermal Photovoltaic (TPV) cell. Our breakthrough technology converts infrared radiation into electricity at efficiencies exceeding 45%, unlocking new opportunities in power generation and thermal energy storage. We are seeking a motivated and talented Device Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will help fabricate and scale the next generation of Air-Bridge TPVs to meet increasing customer demand.

The TPV Device Engineer will:

● Use state-of-the-art simulation tools to design TPV cells for customer applications, including optimizing semiconductor layers, doping, contact grid layout, antireflection coatings, etc.

● Lead TPV characterization, including JV, EQE, FTIR, and PL.

● Refine cell designs to enable improvements in manufacturing.

● Help support wafer growth and process development activities using cutting-edge semiconductor processes, including lithography, physical vapor deposition, wafer bonding, chemical etching, metrology, dicing, etc.

Requirements:

● Ph.D. (or M.S.) in Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent degree.

● Experience in semiconductor device design with TCAD or equivalent software.

● Experience in testing (opto)electronic devices and developing device characterization setups.

● Competency in data analysis and statistics.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clear reporting with a strong attention to detail.

Desirable:

● Experience using materials characterization equipment, including SEM/TEM, FTIR,

XRD, profilometry, and ellipsometry.

● Experience fabricating photovoltaics and/or working in a cleanroom environment with processes including lithography, physical vapor deposition, wafer bonding, chemical etching, metrology, dicing, etc.

● A track record of solving challenging engineering problems and working productively in a team environment.

● A positive attitude and willingness to go beyond one's comfort zone to pursue solutions to new and unexpected problems.
