Heat2Power is pioneering the world’s most efficient solid-state heat engine: the
Air-Bridge Thermal Photovoltaic (TPV) cell. Our breakthrough technology converts infrared radiation
into electricity at efficiencies exceeding 45%, unlocking new opportunities in power generation and
thermal energy storage. We are seeking a motivated and talented Process Engineer to join our
growing team. In this role, you will help fabricate and scale the next generation of Air-Bridge TPVs to
meet increasing customer demand.
The TPV Process Engineer will:
- Work in the Lurie Nanofabrication Facility (cleanroom) located at the UM and at H2P
- Fabricate TPV cells using cutting-edge semiconductor processes including lithography,
physical vapor deposition, wafer bonding, chemical etching, metrology, dicing, etc.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team on the design, fabrication, and
characterization of TPV devices.
- Drive process improvements and innovations that will enable scalable manufacturing

Requirements:
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent degree
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment
- A track record of solving challenging engineering problems and working productively in a
team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clear reporting with a strong
attention to detail
- Flexibility to accept new tasks and go beyond one's comfort zone to pursue the solution to
new and unexpected problems
- A positive attitude and a strong motivation to work with a great team and product
Preferred Skills:
- Substantial experience with microfabrication processes and tools, including lithography,
physical vapor deposition, wafer bonding, chemical etching, dicing, etc.
- Experience using materials characterization equipment, including SEM/TEM, FTIR, XRD,
contact/optical profilometry, and ellipsometry.
- Understanding of semiconductor device operating principles
- Competency in data analysis and statistics
