Description

This is an independent consultant (1099) opportunity. This is not a regular full-time FAAC employee position and is not eligible for company benefits. Work is performed on an as-needed basis.

The MILO Range Instructor is responsible for training law enforcement, government, military, and international clients on the operation, troubleshooting, and application of computer-based judgmental decision-making simulation systems. This role requires autonomy, adaptability, and technical expertise to ensure successful training in diverse environments. The position involves significant travel to domestic and international sites and requires the development and updating of core training curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and troubleshoot multiple simulators across various operating systems.
  • Conduct multi-day training sessions for a diverse customer base, including law enforcement, military, and government personnel.
  • Develop, update, and maintain training curriculum.
  • Perform quality assurance on vendor components and systems.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to support training operations (50–75% travel).
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
  • Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of different end-users.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical assembly, electronics, computer networks, and computer assembly.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have minimum of 5 years of experience in a training environment
  • Must have significant computer experience
  • Must be willing to travel 50-75%
  • Must be willing to qualify for a US Passport
  • Having prior law enforcement or military experience, a plus
  • Experience with firearms, a plus
  • Must be a motivated self-starter
