Currently, we are looking to add an Intern-Synthetic Organic Chemistry to our team:
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform assigned organic reactions, including acylations, nucleophilic substitutions, condensation reactions, and cyclization reactions.
- Monitor reaction progress using thin layer chromatography and/or high-pressure liquid chromatography.
- Perform purifications using column chromatography, recrystallization, and other methods.
- Prepare accurate Quality Control and ISO QC data packets prior to submission.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all experiments that are compliant with policy.
- Assist with general lab upkeep including washing glassware and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Report status of work to supervisor regularly.
- Work collaboratively with the team to accomplish project goals and milestones.
Requirements:
- Education: Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with an Academic Standing of 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience with general lab courses required.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to do general laboratory calculations, including basic stoichiometry.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, be organized, and pay attention to detail.
- Available to work 5/11/26 through 8/7/26.
