Currently, we are looking to add a Scientific Technical Information Specialist to our team:
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage and maintain product information across the company database and website
- Create electronic product information sheets for Cayman’s catalog of compounds
- Develop product sizes and pricing based on established guidelines
- Search for chemical compound information using various databases
- Track product status and maintain product archives via Sharepoint
- Proof all marketing and product documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Search, obtain, and export scientific journal articles and patents using EndNote for research staff
- Work with laboratory staff to document and maintain scientific lab notebooks
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in life science or library and information science preferred
- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Computer Skills: Experience with database systems required; InDesign or other desktop publishing software preferred; SharePoint and Endnote experience preferred
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to work independently
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and assist in other job duties desired
