Ann Arbor SPARK
The MI Mobility Fellows (MMF) Program is a 15-month, highly selective fellowship designed to strengthen Michigan’s transportation and mobility ecosystem. Fellows from across the country are placed in host organizations where they gain hands-on experience addressing real mobility challenges. This program aims to make Michigan’s mobility future more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable—improving the way people, goods, and ideas move across the state.
Program Duration: June 16, 2026 – September 17, 2027
Position Summary
The Entrepreneurial Services Mobility Programs Fellow supports Ann Arbor SPARK’s mission to grow the region’s mobility innovation ecosystem. Working closely with the Director of Mobility Programs, this role helps mobility and transportation technology startups access resources, build talent pipelines, and connect with regional and global partners. The fellow will contribute to client engagement, ecosystem programming, thought leadership, and strategic initiatives that strengthen Ann Arbor’s position as a hub for advanced mobility innovation.
Startup Support & Client Engagement
Support mobility startups by connecting them with relevant resources, opportunities, and networks within the SPARK ecosystem. Maintain regular communication with clients and share timely information through targeted email outreach and program updates.
Ecosystem Programming & Education
Assist in developing and delivering events and programming that advance the mobility sector in the region. Contribute to the planning and execution of SPARK mobility events, including meetups, Tech Trek, Mobility Summit, and industry conferences.
Marketing & Thought Leadership
Help amplify the region’s mobility innovation story by contributing content to SPARK communications, including newsletters, blogs, and success stories. Collaborate with the marketing team to highlight startup achievements and promote regional assets.
Talent Development
Support mobility startups in identifying early hires, interns, and technical talent by leveraging SPARK’s network and regional partnerships. Contribute to efforts that strengthen the mobility workforce pipeline.
Regional & Global Engagement
Assist with strategic initiatives that position the Ann Arbor region as a leader in mobility innovation. Support engagement with public and private partners and help host visiting delegations to showcase the region’s mobility ecosystem.
