Location: Ann Arbor SPARK East Innovation Center (Ypsilanti, MI)
Status: Part-Time, Independent Contractor – Ending Aug 31, 2026 or earlier
Hours: 20–50 hours per month (flexible, based on program needs)
Ann Arbor SPARK East Innovation Center is dedicated to supporting small businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups throughout the region. As we expand our technical assistance offerings for small businesses, we’re seeking a highly organized, proactive contractor to support the roll-out and ongoing coordination of new programs.
We are looking for a part-time contractor who excels in program coordination, communication, and logistics. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, is detail-oriented, and can manage multiple small projects with shifting priorities. Hours are flexible and will vary between 20–50 hours per month depending on program activity.
Program & Logistics Management
· Support planning and execution of small business technical assistance programs
· Coordinate scheduling, virtual and in‑person logistics, and event support
· Maintain program timelines, deliverables, and operational checklists
Vendor & Partner Coordination
· Serve as a key point of contact for service providers and program vendors
· Track vendor deliverables, invoices, and service schedules
· Facilitate communication and provide updates to internal staff and partners
Marketing & Outreach
· Support program marketing efforts, including email outreach, social media coordination, and promotional materials
· Assist with audience targeting and community engagement to drive program awareness
· Collaborate with SPARK marketing staff to ensure messaging alignment
Program Enrollment & Communications
· Manage application/enrollment processes for small business participants
· Respond to inquiries and provide program information
· Coordinate onboarding and assist participants throughout their program journey
Reporting & Administration
· Track program metrics, participation, and vendor activity
· Assist with data entry and preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders
· Maintain documentation and organize program files
· Experience in marketing, program coordination or project management
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Familiarity with small business support, entrepreneurship, or economic development (preferred)
· Comfortable working independently and remotely, with occasional onsite work at SPARK East
· Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and virtual meeting software
· Contract position with flexible hours totaling 20–50 hours per month
· Hourly rate commensurate with experience
· Work may be remote or hybrid, with some onsite needs at SPARK East Innovation Center
