About the role

The ERP Manager is responsible for delivering all ERP services and SLAs for the Business Groups (usually present in multiple countries), governing the relationship with them across the spectrum of ERP systems. Main responsibilities include:

  • Interfacing with business management within the EMEA perimeter and provides regular update on performance and results of ERP service delivery. It also provides direct management and guidance to the ERP
  • Business Analysts and ERP Support Technicians within the several countries which includes direct responsibility for ERP systems, service levels and performance.
  • Ensuring robust and reliable service delivery process, consistency across the full perimeter, alignment with the wider IT organisation, particularly with the other countries within EMEA and collaboration with Business Groups (BG) and other non-IT organisations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders (internal customers) to structure the ERP technology’s contribution to the corporation. Provide guidance and counsel to executives in the examination and definition of objectives for existing or proposed systems and in the design of improved ERP and associated business systems.
  • Closely collaborate with regional ERP teams ensuring standardization and best practices are agreed and adhered to.
  • Collaborate with Global Strategic Applications, Global Data and Analytics, Global Risk Management in the area of responsibility
  • Manage team of ERP Analysts and Support Technicians.
  • Develop and energize multi-discipline, high-performance regional teams.

ERP Manager is part of the EMEA Senior Management Operations Team discussing and deciding different aspects of IT matters for the region following the IT strategy and company vision

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Responsible for leading, coaching and managing the ERP Team across the region.
  • Team size between 3 to 10, some being contractors and third party providers so includes managing the external contractors and service providers.
  • Create a consolidated portfolio of the Legacy ERP Systems (which include Pro Alpha, ASIS, ABAS, Infor Brain, Silver CS, Access, QAD, Softlab and Mida across multiple European countries) to improve visibility, understanding, compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Build robust and close business relations with local business leads and third party providers to ensure a secure support environment.
  • Management and Delivery of Customer Service Level Agreements.
  • Regular engagement and proactive management with Business Stakeholders (Plant General Managers, BG/BU Managers, Directors and Finance Managers).
  • Leads prioritization of IT initiatives based on organization(s) needs/strategy, IT workload and budget
  • This role forms part of Amcor’s operations in EMEA region which includes in total 100+ Manufacturing Plants and Shared Service Offices.
  • Travel requirements: this role is also expected to travel to the other countries/sites within the Region.
  • Multiple language skills a distinct advantage

Group IT Level

  • Strong involvement with delivery on improvements to support processes, ERP related asset management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsibility for the implementation of Group IT shared service standards and support processes across the site(s) they work with
  • Responsible for the quality of the ERP service delivery at the sites
  • Project leadership in their sites for all ERP related activities and support process changes for IT shared services
  • Coverage of critical issues at the sites

Security (alignment with IT policies)

Customer Focus

  • Develop a “Customer First” culture within EMEA Group IT organisation.
  • Good communication around issues and opportunities – get things done, make things happen.
  • Regular meeting with key customers and stakeholders within EMEA.
  • Monitor and report quality of the service delivered by the EMEA Group IT organisation.
  • Act as main escalation point for internal customer feedback for ERP services delivered in the region.
  • Monitor and report quality of the services delivered and performance Key Performance indicators (KPIs)

Service Delivery

  • Monitor compliant execution of standard processes.
  • Identify existing gaps between Legacy ERP service catalogue and business needs.
  • Request definition of new services, when needed/requested by internal customers.
  • ·Identify and put in place corrective actions when services are not delivered at the expected level of quality.
  • Identify and put in place corrective actions to improve KPIs.
  • Lead projects and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
  • Ensures hardware and software standards and compliance as defined by the Group IT teams are adhered to

Talent Management

  • Develop organisational plans for the perimeter ensuring effective workforce planning.
  • Organises the perimeter to ensure available resources meet customer requirements.
  • Assess team member skills and identify gaps and needs for training and development.
  • Source, identify, plan for, and retain key talent in collaboration with human resource; ensuring Group IT has the ‘Best People’.
  • Follows all the requirements Amcor Talent Management cycle in a timely manner including all performance related assessments to have “Engaged Co-workers” with a “Being Amcor” Culture
  • Manage people and training budget.
  • Ensure Group IT Operations teams are aware of changes and are prepared

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A technology related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/studies. An MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years’ experience in IT or equivalent with supervisory, project management, consulting, and business process re-engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a management position.
  • Proven track record of process standardization, adoption of best practices, service measurement, customer satisfaction monitoring.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience in leading diverse teams and third-party vendor management
  • The following knowledge/experiences are considered a plus:
    • Good knowledge of Business Processes in the Manufacturing industry
    • Certified expertise in one or more established ERP systems
    • Certified in Project Management methodology
    • Networking infrastructure.
    • Disaster recovery testing for full production to ensure continuity of operations.
    • Cloud-based applications and management, including Office 365 Suite, Microsoft Azure, OCI.
