Job Description
Position Responsibilities
Supports the direction set forth by the shift supervisor.
- Performs repetitive production and packing operations to mass process products such as plastic bottles.
- Employee works from production schedule located within the work area.
- Monitors flow of product into processing machinery.
- Tends machines, such as Huskys.
- Works at different work stations as production needs require.
- Works on lines where tasks vary, as product of various shapes and sizes move along lines.
- Check finished product for possible defects.
- Wears all required personal protective equipment.
- Assures and participates in all plant safety/accident prevention policies. This includes maintaining a safe work environment and follows safe work practices
- Maintains housekeeping of work areas.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
- Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and difference between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Must be able to manipulate with both hands, about and below shoulder height.
- Able to stand on solid surface for a minimum of 12 hours.
- Able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
- The employee must be able to demonstrate repetitive motion with a pallet jack and push/pull up to seven hundred (700) pounds throughout the day (12 hour shift)
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close visual inspection of product.
- Able to perform job functions in temperatures of one hundred degrees plus during summer months and fifty degrees during winter months.
Level of Authority
