JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Negotiates, contracts and manages purchases of Indirect materials except Logistics spend category required by the Business Unit at lowest total cost.
- Establish buying plans that provide material at low cost with minimal risk
- Ensure prompt processing of all requirements making the materials and services available within the prescribe timelines
- Ensure materials are purchased within the framework of quality systems
- Forecast prices and keep Business informed on any supply issues.
- Select suppliers based on Quality Audits price and service\
- Take lead role in the business development process with key indirect spend suppliers
2. Develops Purchasing Productivity plans.
- Lead / support cross functional teams in projects and Business
- Promote Procurement initiatives in business
3. Unleashes Supplier power to support business growth
- Lead in supplier selection that meets Amcor’s stringent quality requirement
- Tap supplier expertise to broaden stakeholder knowledge
- Take lead role in the Business Development process with key suppliers.
- Institutionalize Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) to reduce development cycle as well as cost
- Optimize supply chain thru supplier collaboration (i.e. VMI)
- Develop and maintain harmonious relationship with all its suppliers
4. Builds and maintains linkages between Procurement and Business Units
- Support cross functional teams in projects and Business
- Promote Procurement initiatives in business
5. Takes lead role in implementation of local procurement projects and interface with the region and AFAP Manila.
- Support all ASC Asia IM&S initiatives and regional projects
6. Ensures full compliance to Amcor’s Policy and Procedure
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with all policies and procedures.
- Ensure completeness and correctness of all Purchase Orders and Contracts
7. Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time by superior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of Engineering / Accountancy/ Business Administration or its equivalent.
- Minimum of two years experience in purchasing related functions, at least 1 year from a manufacturing firm
- Knowledgeable in MS Office applications and able to adapt to different ERP systems
- Preferably adept with supply chain/procurement process and systems in a Manufacturing Company.
- Preferably with trainings related to Purchasing aspects.
